The Desktop and Taskbar Windows-10
After the use of the Start Screen in Windows 8 and 8.1, the Desktop is once again an integral part of Windows, and when you boot up Windows 10 it opens at the Desktop. This also displays the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen:
Hot tip:
The Desktop can also be accessed by pressing WinKey + D or by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting Desktop.
1. Move the cursor over items on the Taskbar to see open windows for that item. Click on a window to make that the active one

2. The Notifications area on the right-hand side of the Taskbar has a speaker, network, and other system tools. Click on one to see more information about that item
